Hi - yesterday I had a replacement crown/veneer fitted on my upper right incisor but it is considerably longer than my existing teeth and looks a bit like a fang from Dracula!
i think it might have been set too low because the dentist said that there were gaps above which needed cement. In addition ( and this is why I included the word veneer) she said that a full replacement crown would not be possible because it would not fit with the existing partial denture.
my question is: can a crown/veneer be filed down? I assume replace not would be difficult .

Hi Dr Dave,
the short answer is yes it can be filed down BUT in truth, it shouldnt have been fitted if it looks wrong and without you having the opportunity to approve or decline it.
Go back and discuss your concerns.
