I am still Trying to calm myself about an upcoming extraction. So here is my question...which was harder to go through? Root canal or upper extraction?
I've gone through a root canal and it was easy peasy, so if I can endure that, an extraction should be a piece of cake, right?!

I'd take an extraction over a root canal any day. I obviously wouldn't do that because I'd have to give up a good tooth but you get my point. I have had a few of both and a tooth extraction is easy peasy. All mine have been quick and painless. I make sure to take Ibuprofen just before the extraction and then every six hours. That was I'm always ahead of any pain. Follow your after care instructions and you will be all set.

Extractions are absolutely fine, there is a healing process after which you don't really have with root cannal, I found the root cannal stressful and was never entirely happy with the tooth after, have recently had multiple extractions the actual process was fine, did not feel any pain and it was over so quickly, quicker than root cannal. Good luck, it will be fine.

I am facing another extraction too, and to me the most upsetting and difficult thing about it is losing the ability to chew. the appointment itself for extraction should be quick and painless. my experience with root canal was horrible and led to extraction anyway. good luck
