Waiting root canal had a steroid pack but pain back

Hi there. I have a very deep filling with an inlay in my very back bottom tooth. There are no teeth next to it and I’m having two implants there. the tooth has been hurting a lot - 2 weeks ago went to my private dentist who did a procedure - he used a dental dam and drilled deep and he said he cleaned it and packed with steroids etc - then booked me in for a root canal in early June. But - it’s started to throb badly. Should I get antibiotics as I’m going away on Saturday - or should I just get it taken out? I’m really scared of getting a bone infection or something awful and it’s a bank holiday too. Thanks.

Call the dentist back ASAP and go from there.

I’ve called them and he said he wants to assess me not just give antibiotics so I’ve got an appointment tomorrow. Thank you.
