So what happens if you get your implants fitted+you don't like them? or they fail what options are there?

It is rare to have a patient care about the implants themselves. People care more as to what is on top of the implants. Implants are simply the support for teeth. Each case is different as they are endless VARIABLES.

That's what I ment what goes on top of them.

The crowns that come on top of the implant are usually easy to replace.

Replace them with what tho? If the work isn't good+they look rubbish then you'd just be stuck with what your given,if that was the case could they be removed?

What is the exact problem with the work? Is it an esthetic problem? If so, which teeth are these?

The implants are about to be put in,the final result won't be for a while yet. I don't think I'm going to like them tho+dont want to be stuck with something I can't change.

I would like for you to read your post above that I quoted and ask yourself why you said that.
And if that is what you really think then why would you have consented to this treatment by that dentist?

He made some dentures which looked awfull (which I never wore) so I can only go by what they look like,I don't really have other options he's the only consultant. remotely near to where I live that can do what I need (If I could go elsewhere I would).

As comfortdentist pointed out, you still have a bit of time to think on if you agree to give consent for treatment. Is doing nothing an option?

What do you mean doing nothing? I have no teeth I can't go out or have a normal life I'm trying to improve my situation but its hard to do when no one wants to help.

So are you unable to travel to seek care?

I'll also say if you don't trust the dentist who will be providing the treatment, do find another dentist or at least seek a second opinion. What type of implants are you getting? The individual teeth ones or the implant dentures kind?

But back to your question, you should ask the dentist or dental office what your options are if you don't like the final result. They could probably refabricate the crowns/dentures until they fit well and also check if there are any additional costs for that. As for failure, I'm not sure what other options there are other than the regular dentures.

I can't leave this hospital it has to be done there as there is nowhere else. Its more to do with how they look rather than how they fit, just because he says something looks ok I disagree.

I agree with the above, asked before the world is done “what if” and it the answer they give you is not satisfactory is look for a dentists that your more comfortable. Doesn’t matter what they think about how it looks. It’s your mouth and you have to live with them

yes your right I wouldn't want to look worse than I do,like I said tho going elsewhere not an option (unless I win the lotto).

Just curious as to why it has to be done there? Forgive my ignorance in the matter maybe its just different with your insurance ?

well for 1 there's nowhere else or consultants near here that does what I need+2 I'm nhs so even if I could go to another hospital I'd have to start all over from scratch.
