I am scared that it's infected :(

There's patches of white growing over the extraction site where the clot is....

(had #2 molar surgically extracted 2 days ago)

Hi

That sounds like granulation tissue growing, a very good sign and normal. If it was infected it would hurt quite badly, worse than any toothache. Gentle rinsing with salt water or chlorhexidine gluconate mouthwash is standard care.

If it starts hurting you can have the dentist take a peek, but it sounds Ok.

Blessings :D

phew thanks so much. I'll still probably give em a call, cause it hurts like... well like a really bad toothache. But I haven't ever had a tooth extracted before so maybe it is just normal.

I thank you so so much for taking the time to talk to me, Stress Doc, it really helped although at times I would be too scared to even log in to the site, lol.
