silly question i know but i have had 2 root canals done recently and am sure ne is infected as not healing very well.

I REALLY dont want to go back to dentist as im scared theyll mess with it and make it worse! just wondered if i try antibiotics it may just go away.

oh how easy it would be for us phobics to buy anti biotics ... i'm with you on that one!! i'm afraid we can only get them from docs or the dentist :(
you cant buy them from a chemist. have you tried gargling regularly with a good mouthwash and also warm salty water? it can really help to rid bacteria and nasty stuff that causes infections to begin with. worth a try and you can get these things yourself easily enough. i use a good mouthwash that helps my gums when they get sore and the toothache from hell starts, its the red one called ORALDENE. hope this helps and good luck and back to health xx mich:grouphug:

Thanks Michelle, sick of dentists, have pretty much lived in there for the last 2 months!

Does anyone know if you can buy them over the internet? im such a wimp

You could always try asking your dentist if you can have a prescription, they might well be happy to give you one...
