Hi there,

I have a hard, white bone-like bump sticking out of my gum just above my upper left side back molar. I have tried to pick it off and it will not budge. It does NOT hurt, but the gums around it are now swollen since I’ve started to pick. I had my wisdom teeth removed over 30 years ago and haven’t had any extractions since. Anyone have ideas what this could be?

You might be better going to a dentist so they can check it up rather than trying to diagnose this over the Internet. Sometimes, bone grow a bit denser for no reason and that might just be it.

That is true. I would start by not touching the area for two weeks and if still something remains, visit a dentist.
