Hi Everyone!

Wanted to see if anyone could tell me why my bottom gums are like this. They don’t really hurt, but it’s given me a ton of anxiety. I feel like they may have been like this for a while, but haven’t paid much attention until now.

I’ve scheduled a dentist appt in a few weeks but would hate it to go if I don’t really need to. Any advice?

Sorry, not seeing the issue? Like what?

My bottom gums (under my bottom 6 teeth) have those black and gray spots in the photo I have attached. My top gums looks normal and don’t have any black or gray discoloration.

It appears to be normal pigmentation. What's your ethnicity?

Occasionally it shows up in very heavy smokers but it's nothing serious.
