Why can't I get two minor cavities filled at the same time?

I have to get two filled in a month, but I have to go twice one at a time. How long will it take to get a cavity filled and why do I have to do it twice? They removed two teeth at the same time so why? The stress of having to be there twice is killing me almost as much as having to wait a month. Is it because I'm only 15? Please answer, thanks.

Perhaps ask your mum or dad to ring the surgery. Tell them, you become very stressful, and one
appointment would be best. Or why not ring another surgery ask them if they can do two fillings in one visit. ( is there another dentist on your high street or near by? you can join another for a second opinion.)

Have you got a dental mirror? Can you see the cavities? Ask your mum dad, can they see them?
when with your dentist ask him/her to show you with the mirror, so you can see what is going to be filled, and ask is it necessary? you have the right to see. Ask: will I receive a white filling or a mercury based one? ask if there is a cost difference.

I am not an expert , but i will not allow anyone, ever again, to drill into me without showing me the cavity and explaining to me my options. As I had one added on my last visit that was not necessary. : (

It's probably because the cavities are on both sides of your mouth and the dentist would prefer not to numb your entire mouth at once. S/he wants to do one side and then the other. This is fairly common, but talk to the dentist about your concerns. Maybe they'd be willing to consolidate them into one appointment.

Yes they are on both sides, but I had two teeth pulled on different sides on the same day, so I don't understand.. is it going to take a really long time or something?

No I doubt that. You probably can have both done at once but maybe they think as you are so nervous it is better to do one at once to build your confidence.
In future make sure you are included in the discussion over timings/stagings.
