Hi,

looks like a great place here :) Here's my situation. About 6 years ago I had my first molar extracted on the bottom of my lower jaws on both sides. Now I am in a situation where I need my 2nd molar extracted on the lower right side. Now keep in mind my first molar on this side is already gone and now my 2nd molar will be gone leaving me a fairly big gap.

My main concern is if this will change my face shape or even make it "wop sided" due to their being only one tooth missing on the left side and now 2 missing on the right side.

I have read horror stories about facial collapse etc. When I removed my first molar on the left and right side I did not experience any of this. If I did it was for the positive as far as I can tell.

So im wondering should I be worried this will make me look quite a bit different? I am a 29 year old male by the way. Thanks

Hi savemytooth :welcome: to the forum.

I don't think you will look any different, but I am not a dentist so it is only what I think. :)

No it won't change your face shape.
