Will it hurt to fix a loose filling?

My fillings came loose I have three connected I'm assuming it wasn't supposed to be. Long story short while I was brushing I made it loose and now all my teeth are sensitive to brush and red on the gums where the filling are. How bad of pain will I be in to fix it? Will they give me shot? Will the numbing cream/gel numb the area before the shot so I don't feel it? I'm good with the after care but awful in the chair. I plan on taking halcyon and laughing gas will this dull the pain I expect to feel?
