I am going in next week, for removal of an existing bridge, and prep for a new one.
my existing bridge is a composite one, made chair side. It has been painful since day one, and despite numerous adjustments, I can’t tolerate it any more. No tooth prep was needed for this.
my dentist wants to try a single wing Maryland bridge, but says that he needs to remove a sliver of the existing anchor tooth as part of the prep. Will this cause pain or sensitivity in the tooth after prep? Surely removing some of the enamel will make it sore?
