Have not been to dentist in decades, I know I will need to have multiple teeth extracted, to get dentures, but I want to have it done over several appointments, and also only by local numbing anesthesia! Am I going to have trouble with dentists on this?

@John in Florida I did this. I had to get 4 wisdom teeth and another tooth extracted. I didn't want any kind of sedation so I found a dentist who was willing to do what I wanted. I had him start with just one tooth and then remove the other 4 in pairs with local anesthetic only over some months. I had switched to him from a dentist who wanted to send me to an oral surgeon to be sedated and have all done at once. I found someone whose website made it clear that they were confident about extracting teeth and didn't go into a lot of detail about offers of sedation, so I felt like they weren't as into that, and I was right. So I would say, not every dentist will do this, but I think if you look around, one will.

Yes and Thank You for your reply! I am very leery of these dental supercenters we have so many of here in fort lauderdale, with 20 nurse assistants and who knows how many dentists? I'm looking into some private old school type places! at least I hope I can find that!

@John in Florida I agree it is best to avoid both corporate managed and corporate owned places. I am sure if you look around you can find something suitable.
