hey people ,, this is a call to any friendly dentists, a few months ago i had 2 pulls and 5 fillings, the first apointment was booked by my mum as i did not have the nerve. i had the check up all ok and then the treatment i went for IV sidation and all was ok.

onto my current probblem i think not 100% but my back bottem far right wisdom tooth is pushing though, theres like flappy gum around the area and up from the tooth the gum is very very sore to presuie . it hurts when i swallow a bit and when open mouth wide. dentists views on what this could be ? is it the wisdome comming though ?

the proud bit , i actualy phoned up and booked my own apointment and also argued to have it sooner , so i have one today (tuesday 11th) at 3:30 (at least not 2:30 yeah) lol

i really just want to know if dentist know from my discription what it could be, im thinking the worst that the tooth will need to be removed and its quite deep in so im guessing it will be a bitch to get out

views guys :)

Thanks in advance , will keep you up to date

Dave

Just logging in and sorry to see that no one actually was able to reply to you before you went off for your appointment. No doubt however, you will now be able to let us know what your dentist had to say about it.

Certainly sounds like a wisdom tooth coming in, the pain on opening your mouth is the big giveaway. Depending on how much room there is for it to come in, extraction might not be required.

got back from apointment

turns out its a mild case of Pericoronitis, even tho its quite painfull dentist said it is mild and has not spread.. can still open mouth ,, neck is fine how ever it is quite painfull , the dentist said keep clean and bath with salt water ... its quite comon when wisdom comes partly though

hey people just to follow up .. i had to go back to get some antibiotics as im in alot of pain .. just wonderd how long this can last ..

Regards

I'd expect quite a bit of improvement within 24hrs.

Oh and make sure that you really agitate the salt water rinse around the area, you want to try to dislodge the bit of food that's stuck under the flap of gum over the wizzie. You'll maybe look a bit daft doing it, but what the heck, it's better than being sore!

Re: proud,worried,unsure,questions

ok just an update for people

i was a bout to give up hope, my pain has been pretty much the same since last thursday on and off really bad then ok then really bad , the really bad pain never got any worst but i was begining to think it would never go, i have been taking antibotics since friday and they did not seem to be doing nought... and i was about to give up hope and start getting used to the fact the tooth may have to come out .. but this morning i woke up and was like ooook no pain lol ... during today i had very mild pain but could eat for the first time with out going ouch ouch ouch ouch ... so fingers crossed its finialy started to clear up

just intime for some mince pies
