Hello - I’m new here but have used this forum as a source of information since July.

Long story short - both lower wisdom teeth been infected and painful since July 2024. One (the right side) has successfully been removed 8 weeks ago at an oral surgery with IV sedation (which was my first time and scary! But thankfully I remember nothing). However the left side has been more problematic. Since July it’s been basically constantly infected - multiple rounds of antibiotics, changing diet, painkillers, daily salt rinses and nothing helps. It now has (sorry for too much information) green and yellow pus coming out daily and I’ve been told my surgery won’t be until January as it needs to be in a hopsital as the tooth is close to a nerve. I’m honestly not sure I can wait until January. It’s so painful and I’m so sick of pus coming out of it everyday and nothing helping. Does anyone have any advice whilst I wait in the meantime? Or is there a way to get seen quicker? Can I keep ringing the hospital and highlighting the issue? Thanks all 😊

Hi, if you don't ask you don't get, so keep pestering them :) . Did you ask your dentist if there's any way they can speed things up for you, seeing that you are in so much pain?
