I finally had my wizzie surgery on thursday. Been in recovery since. The hygenist was sweet she was cracking jokes the whole time, the dentist was kind and kept checking in on me with random "are you doing okay there?" "Still okay?" "Do you need a break?" The whole time. I felt i could really trust him beside of how attentive and kind he was. Even if my anxiety screamed otherwise

I got in that chair. First they numbed me then got to work. Now there was some scary sounds but it was nothing to in the end be scared of, my head moved a lot and i felt a pressure the whole time but no pain. When i did feel a tiny sting all i had to do was raise my one arm and they would stop and check what was wrong ask where the pain was and work to make sure it was frozen. Yes i had to be froze a lot but that's just because of me it's not something everyone will go through.

I didn't need stitches
Yes there was infection pretty bad but they got it out had me continue to take my meds and got me out to another scan to make sure it was cleared up. The source of infection gone. The service xray was free because it was to make sure i was safe and sound. Got a second more experienced dentist to double check free of charge.

Then they took me to the front gave me the bill and my after care instructions. The bill was a cheap 40$ thanks to cdcp.

They sent me off with a smile.
Saturday they did a check in via phone, And gave me an emergency number if i needed it.

Day one i wont lie was painful and i needed pain meds. Day two and three tender. Day four a lot easier and now on day 5 going on 6 I'm a night owl i feel back to normal mostly. Just unable to brush the side that faces the extraction of my one tooth that's it and still no straws.

No more pain, i can sleep again, i can eat soft things and slightly chewy things again. The holes already are covered.

See i had short roots and unimpacted wizzies so it was a smooth extraction so it may not be the exact same for everyone with the healing process but trust me when i say you will feel a thousand times better down the line to get the infection out of you have an infected wizzie.

Like wow i didn't realize all the pain in my head on that side that never went away for 2 years was it.

I didn't see a dentist for 10+ years, lived with a cavity in that wizzie for 4 years + this year.
And all i had was two bad wizzies on the upper part. All my other teeth simply are stained or have a tiny bit of plaque you could barely notice. My teeth are healthy.

No need for a bunch of fillings, no unnecessary pullings, nothing i was anxious of.

And now i don't have to be anxious about my teeth and now it's all over. I finally did it. I got over my heart albeit forced by my health to. And i got it removed, I'm free from the pain and can just rest and relax now. And bonus i got to see a kitty ran right up to me when i got out of the dental office. Really cute sweet thing and i like to think that was life telling me it's gonna be alright. And it is alright, I'm okay. You're all going to be okay too ♥️ take it at your own pace friends. You got this!
