Worried and nervous

I had top full extractions and immediate dentures put in. I had extractions on the bottom and have a partial. I removed my teeth after 48 hours as suggested. Now I can get the bottom back in. I am really worried. HELP, what do I do now?

Hi there,

it is normal that your gums are swelled at the moment so you can’t get the denture in. Sounds like you have followed the instructions so you should be fine. I am sure they will get in soon once the swelling got less. When are you seeing your dentist again?

Hi,

I have visited a dentist as a result of a story I read here. Thanks!

I tend to get shaky when I sit in the chair, but after the embarassement I get from my current teeth, I am resigned and actually looking forward to getting treatment! 1994 was the last time I visited...Perhaps this is a reverse fear?

Anyway, I am resigned to getting upper partial dentures (all 4 front and a few bits) and appears bottoms (mainly rear I believe). I realise they are uncomfortable, but I do fear more than the pain of removal, the return to work. Will I sound like Daffy Duck? Are they horribly...
