So I need number 15 to be crowned after a root canal. The opposing tooth is a crowned with zirconia. I originally said Zirconia again because I have Bruxism but the more I read the more I’m thinking maybe gold. I also have metal allergies but I have not had a reaction to gold. I was almost going to pick gold but I’m unsure how my insurance would cover it and that the opposing tooth is a zirconia and my allergy.

Gold allergy is rare. A well made au crown wins over a well made zirconia crown as the fit is better and so are the contours of the tooth. Downside is the cost.

Agreed. Gold is also a lot "kinder" to opposing teeth, it doesn't cause as much wear on the enamel. I've got a gold crown myself...
