I have a couple of questions. I also just want to say I'm absolutely terrified of the thought of any surgical procedure. I had a traumatic experience where I wasn't completely numb during c section. So now, the thought of anything makes me panic.

First question: my top right wisdom tooth broke to the gum line. No pain, but I went in back in September and the dentist confirmed the break and said it needed removed as well as 5 other teeth (2 molars with cavities almost to pulp. Bottom wisdom teeth bone impacted) now, 4 months later, I feel like the gum has grown around that broken tooth. No pain at all and I can brush it like everything else. Does it still need removed? I can even chew on that side now. Which I quit for months and only chewed on the left side.

Second: My top left wisdom tooth started hurting intensely Friday night. No pain prior, but was one of the teeth the dentist said needed removed. (Which I have scheduled) In panic mode, I brushed vigorously on that tooth. Bled like crazy. But now it only hurts when I put pressure on it. Is this an infection? It's not swollen. Is it just pulp inflamed causing pain with pressure? Doesn't hurt just sitting around or talking. I can go about my day just fine. Can this be treated without extraction since it seems to already have improved over 3 days?

I don't like the idea of losing 4 top teeth and 2 bottom because I'm afraid of facial structure shifting with that many teeth gone. So I'm just anxious all around I guess.

Does it still need removed?
Yes. Sounds like it. You have a choice, have it removed at a place and time of your choosing when it's convenient to you or wait until it flares up at an inconvenient time and place, on vacation for instance.

Difficult to say for sure without looking at it, sorry. You need to let your dentist take a look as soon as you can arrange it.
