Anyone had allergic reaction to dry socket paste/packing?

I might need this done today and I have some weird allergies. I will of course discuss them with the dentist but has anyone here ever had a packing and had a severe reaction to it...or a bad reaction at all? Feel free to post if yours was an absolutely wonderful experience too. Thanks! ::)
 
Hi,

I had a packing about two weeks ago, in my lower left wisdom extraction site.

It certainly tasted foul, but I had no reaction to it whatsover. It stopped the pain almost instantly and that was good enough for me.

Here's a breakdown of what's in the commonly used dry socket dressings. Sorry the chart is a littttle on the big side, but on the other hand, it makes it nicer for those slightly near sighted visitors. I have not encountered or heard about anyone with allergies to these dressings, but you can check for yourself if you are sensitive to any of the chemicals listed.
