Had a deep composite on Monday and still not pain free

I had avoided this filling for about a year... I eventually braved it, did not have pain yet which is why I was able to ignore it lol, but now I have nerve pain, it radiates along my jaw.

I am careful with what I eat and drink and make it lukewarm. It sometimes seems to be dependant on my head position so if I lie down and angle my head up it can help a bit. I use sensodyne rapid on my teeth.

It was ok for the first couple days , then this started up after I ate some sugary cereal (cheerios, softened) ... the milk holding the sugar was the issue I suspect... then I started with more issues of nerve pain.

It is now Saturday, the issues with this started on Wednesday. Dentist did say it could be sore for 2 weeks as its a big one and to rub sensodyne on it... I just brush with it though.

I am wondering if this is something to worry about? Does this sound like something that can happen with deep composite fillings, the jaw nerve pain feeling, comes and goes.

basically its not just a sensitive tooth it runs along the jaw. Often wonder if I have some of that neuralgia.

Not neuralgia. The symptoms are completely different.

Sensitivity after a filling is not uncommon and usually goes away in 2/3 weeks.

The Sensodyne will be more effective if you massage it in last thing at night rather than brushing with it.
