I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed yesterday morning. Last night, I noticed there is an extra flap of gum right next to my second molar (towards the side of my cheek). I’m not sure if it feel away from the stitching but it looks like the gum was cut by my dentist (but just now all the way). Should I be concerned or will this flap of gum heal on its own?

Hi,

Nothing to be concerned about. After an extraction there is an inflammatory reaction which results in swelling. It should take a few days for it to shrink back.
