Just after some advice... I have recently began my journey to getting healthier teeth after not being to the dentist in 10yrs.
Today I have had two teeth removed on the left side - 1 top and 1 bottom back teeth.
Everything went fine, had a few tears afterwards but I'm so proud of myself now.
My main concern is now that I am home my jaw is locked and I can't open my mouth as wide as normal. The jaw pain is on th the opposite side of where my teeth were removed... is this normal? Has anyone else ever experienced this?

It might be because you're eating on that side of your mouth? I've recently had one removed on my upper left and I get the occasional pain on my other side after eating.
A few years ago I had three teeth removed on the bottom, two on the right and one on the left and I couldn't open my mouth at all for about 5 days. I nearly ended up in hospital as I couldn't eat and barely drink. If it gets too bad go back to the dentist :) hope you're better soon!

I have a fact sheet, when you have a tooth out, normally you'll only be able to open your mouth about a fingers width in the first few days, that should go away after a week at the most.
