Hello
had a deep composite filling on lower 1st molar 6 weeks ago, it was ok for a couple of days then the mild to sometimes moderate radiating jaw pain started, that lasted for almost 6 weeks.
I went to the dentist at 5 weeks she did tap test then I had an xray. Nothing to talk about except its deep... then over the weekend symptoms changed and the tooth became very tender and sore to bite down on even just talking if teeth chattered together was sore, then my face was slightly swollen jaw etc felt bruised and stiff a little.
Then last night after salt water rinsing, brushing then flossing a bunch of blood came out between that tooth and the one next to it (filling is mainly situated between teeth) and the swelling went down and that bruised face/jaw feeling went away quite a bit and the tooth is less tender today.
I went in to my dentists today and she had a bad attitude with me, I do not understand why, now looking to go private, what should I say to the new private dentist, I was obviously worried about infection, which is why I went in, she said "mmm could have been..." sent me away. That I need to decide "what I want to do" Said cant guarantee pain wont return... I am more confused and annoyed than ever. She is the expert not me. I asked if an absess could have been between teeth maybe I cleared it and that is when she said mmm maybe... Not helpful.
