Tartar/Plaque

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering, after 5 years of not visiting the dentist, would you think i have some form of Tartar/Plaque build up on my teeth?

Is it true that everyone has to undergo a dental cleaning every 6 months?

there is quire possibly some build up.
some people can get tartar build up in just a few weeks- for others it isn't an issue and they can go years without any significant build up. it depends on your brushing techniques and how much mineral there is in your saliva.
the dentist will let you know your situation at your check up.

i didnt goto the dentist for 9 yrs i had tartar around one tooth but my dentist said my teeth were relatively clean and there was no tartar anywhere else he cleaned my teeth but said i wont need 6 monthly cleaning he will just keep an eye on things and then say if he thinks i need it my sister on the other hand has to go every 6 months for cleaning cause she gets build up so what dr mike said makes sense.
