Hi all i am needing to have my front top four teeth removed for immediate dentures. Im absolutely terrified :( i so badly just need it done now as my mental health has hit rock bottom. I am unable to have sedation so am hoping i may be able to get something from gp to take edge off? Im bad with needles and also the moulds is even freaking me out, will they pull my wobbly tooth out? I am so fed up with myself for still letting this stupid fear control my life and ruin my happiness. Thanks for reading if you got this far x

Try not to worry. They will do everything they can to make you comfortable. I'm certain that you could, at the very least, be prescribed something to relax you. I have heard of some nervous patients being prescribed valium for their procedure.

I've just been through a bit of a marathon with my denture journey. You can check my journal for more information. It might help you to read someone else's experience.

Dentures are nothing to be afraid of. They are difficult to begin with. It's not easy in the beginning. But it gets so much better I promise.

Just remember, you are doing what's best for your oral health and overall wellbeing. Bad teeth can affect other bodily systems.

You are going to get the treatment you deserve to have. Overall it will make you happier.

Hi @mayze, you said that you’re unable to have sedation, is there any particular reason, or is it just that your dentist doesn’t offer it?
