Hi, new to this but dont know who to turn too, hope someone can help or point me in right direction.
I have been attending a private dental practice for the last two years. I have not got great teeth and had a lot of amalgam fillings, these have now been replaced with either white fillings or inplants (expensive).
I also wear a denture and given the spaces it fills particularly at the front I am not happy with it. My dentist is suggesting a bridge which would cost approx £10k. I am being told the quality of the procelain etc is top notch. The treatmetnt plan states Porcelain bridge unit UR1,UR2UR3, UL1,UL2,UL3,UL4,UL5,UL6,UL7 @£850 each with Porcelain veneers on UR4 &UR5 at £690 each. I have a 3 tooth gap at the side (probably obvious to you from the above) which will be attached (part of bridge)to the tooth either side of the gap, with another bridge for the two missing front teeth. My question is a) could i get this done cheaper in Glasgow but with the same quality and b) will the side bridge over quite a big gap work or will eventually the two teeth they are attached to fall apart, they are both heavily filled. My husband thinks I am and have been ripped off but I do like my dentist but sometimes think i maybe have had work done I dont need. I am considering going to see another dentist but dont know who to turn to (are all private dentists much the same?)
