Am i being ripped off??

I am going to have a tooth pulled, next monday. I went in to see my dentist last week, she took some xrays , gave me prescricptions for pain medication and antibiotics. After that should explain that i would have to have one of my molars removed, she gave me a case report with a cost estimate on it. I do not have dental insurance so I will have to pay with cash. She is charging me 224.00 Usd for the non - surgical extraction, which is just a couple shots of novacain and her pulling the tooth (no nitrious) it is 75.00 more. Then after that she has a 250.00 charge that shouls bone repl grft ridge.. i do no under stand anything about that, she said it is synthetic bone implant, which i do not understand why i need or what it is... Please help me can anyone explain what this is all about and am i being over charged..

Can't comment on the charges, I really have no idea if this is a fair price in your area or not. Bone replacement stuff is usually done to preserve bone for a future dental implant. Are you planning on having one done?
