Im so sorry to post again but i am having such a bad day, i have my filling on wednesday and i am SO scared i can barely think about anything else. I did the weekly check of my mouth today & too my horror on the very back tooth on the side there is a obvious hole, its black i can fit a pin in it ( i know i shouldnt) i only had a check up last week why didnt he pick it up? Why am i having constant cavities after cavities?! I do everything im meant too, i brush 3 times a day, i floss at least twice a day, i use mouthwash, i barely eat but when i do its teeth friendly and when its not i wash my mouth out with water & nibble on some cheese. Im 23 8 fillings & 1 crown soon to be 4. I just hate it x

*cough* I have a couple of teeth with more then one filling...

Hi all, sorry for not updating my internet has been down for a week. Well i went through with the filling & felt amazing after but then something had to go wrong. I am a avid flosser & for a while i keep noticing that the floss always gets stuck & shreds inbetween my back molar. Well after flossing today i had a little look ( and a cry) because there is a crack on my back tooth that runs down the side. The tooth has a massive filling in it & the crack is about hald a cm so tiny but its def there if my tooth going to split? i just cant function now

Sometimes things that look like cracks to you are just enamel craze lines. You are probably worrying unnecessarily. Even if it were properly cracked it still wouldn't mean a doomed tooth unless it had a vertical root fracture. Cracks are also very hard to diagnose.
Have your dentist take a look next time you go for reassurance.
