Hi,
10 days ago I had four upper teeth extracted, two at the rear and the two front ones. After about three days I noticed I could feel the point of the socket bone, between where the two front ones had been, sticking through my gums.I had expected the gum to grow over this bone but it's been ten days now and I can still feel the tip with my tongue.
I've was told by my dentist(before the extractions, which I had done in hospital) to wait six months for the gum to heal before I can have a bridge fitted, but the thought of spending six months with the bone sticking through my gums doesn't appeal to me too much.
I suppose what I want to know is will the bone remodel and the gum cover it eventually(if so,how long is this likely to take) or is it likely to stay the same.
Any advice appreciated.
