Hello Iv got a gum boil that's burst and is draining.
How can I treat it whilst I'm waiting for the dental appointment please.
Yes iv googled and yes it's scared me.

I'm curious what you could find on Google about it that is scary?

It's actually not a bad thing that it's burst, it relieves the pressure and should stop it from hurting so much. Rinse around with some warm salt water a few times (1 teaspoon of salt dissolved in a small glass of warm water). If you can be bothered; do this a few times a day for 3-4 days. You can do it as long as you want, it doesn't do any harm.

Don't worry about swallowing anything that comes out of it, your stomach will kill any bacteria that get in it in seconds.

Thank you Gordon. As usual you are a star.
Google tells me it's from a underline infection that if not fixed could go into my bloodline and make me very ill etc.

Oh goodness me, not that sh*t again.
Yes, in theory that can happen. In an otherwise healthy person living in a Western country, it's about as likely as me going on a double date with Scarlett Johansson and Charlize Theron, also theoretically possible (I live in hope!).

I wish you luck with that Gordon.

I'd need a lot more than luck if my wife found out :-)
