Concious Sedation Anyone Please Help Me

OK I AM GOING TOMORROW FOR ONE OF MY FIRST OF 4 SURGERIES I AM HAVING ALL MY TEETH EXTRACTED AND THEY ARE DOING IT IN 4 DIFFERENT SECTIONS ANYWAYS I HAVE NEVER HAD CONCIOUS SEDATION CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THEY DO HOW YOU START FEELING AND ANYTHING ELSE THAT WOULD HELP. I KNOW THEY ARE GONNA GIVE ME LAUGHING GAS AND IV SEDATION BUT I WONT BE PUT TO SLEEP I HAVE NEVER HAD LAUGHING GAS OR CONCIOUS SEDATION SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT I AM SO SCARED. THANKS AGAIN

Hello I am super knew to this forum...but I totally understand what u are going through.I am 30 years old and am getting all my top teeth removed for upper dentures.The gas and IV sedation will help u relax and make u comfortable.When I had my teeth pulled I wanted that but just got novicane...even just with that, The procedure was painless...all I felt was pressure.You will be fine.Just think how grate you will feel when it's over
You will be in my prayers.You can do this.We are all here for you.When U feel up to it let us know how it goes.

Definitely nothing to feel frightened over, once you are in and out. You may hallucinate a bit (as other recent posts have been indicating). You kinda feel weightless and literally, care-free = consious sedation gives a person a strong feeling of NO feeling = not caring, no worries, extinguishes anxieties. You may THINK you are scared, but the fear never rises enough to impede you or the dentist. It's a really hard-to-describe sensation.. It's not really drugged or semi-consious either.. even tho you ARE drugged and semi-concious, you don't FEEL that way.. you feel completely awake (or you remember it that way) . You may get giggly , or silly ... When I had cons-sedation for another medical procedure years ago, I was cracking completely inappropriate jokes for the situation.. It's normal and to be expected. But in terms of anything else.. it's nothing to be worried about... really and truly

THANKS ALOT. I HAD THE FIRST SURGERY DONE THE ONLY REAL PROBLEM WAS MY BLOOD PRESSURE WAS HIGH IM NOT SURE HOW HIGH BUT EVIDENTLY NOT ENOUGH TO STOP THE PROCEDURE. ANYWAYS IM GOING IN TOMORROW TO HAVE THE REST OF MY TOP FRONT TEETH OUT 8 OF THEM. IM NOT REALLY SCARED OF THE PROCEDURE BUT THE FACT THAT ALL OF MY TOP TEETH ARE GONNA BE GONE. LOL. WHAT DID YOU ALL EAT WITH NO TOP TEETH AT ALL. THANKS AGAIN

I have had my top denture for 5 days.
The things I eat are

Mash potatoes

Soup

Scarmbled eggs(slide right down)

Pudding...Jello

And those Insure Protein drinks
