Prior to having gum flap surgery, you could not see the silver part of a tooth that had a root canal and a crown put on. Now it is showing REALLY badly. Should I be worried about it's exposure?

Should I talk to my dentist about maybe having a gum transplant in that area?

I can tell how much better my gums are since the surgery, but this has me kind of freaked out. I just had a perio. maintenance check up and the dentist didn't say anything about that to me. It is tooth #12 in my mouth.

No you don't have to be worried. After gum surgery, you will expect to have some gum recession which is part of trh healing process where the pockets shrink.
That type of crown you are showing normally has a small metal collar towards the neck on the palate side of your mouth so this is normal.
