Fillings hurt a week later

Hello, I had 4 fillings last week and 2 of them still seem to hurt today, they were deep fillings to my knowledge and were all on molars. Thank you

When I had my deep fillings on molars it did hurt for longer than regular fillings, but I can't recall for how long.
Maybe ask your dentist?
Have you tried rubbing with Sensodyne toothpaste? Or letting a Paracetamol dissolve on the area? x

@Fuzzy5 I've been taking cocodamol and using orajel, it is working but the pain is still there when they wear off. I didn't want to contact the dentist incase it seemed like a silly question, but she did say it'd hurt for a few days x

A lot more information would be required to give a decent answer...

1) Hurts with hot/cold/sweet/pressure?
2) How long does it hurt for? Couple seconds or a couple of hours?
3) Anything makes it better/worse apart from above?
4) What kind of filling materials?

DO NOT ALLOW A PAINKILLER TO DISSOLVE IN YOUR MOUTH! Can cause nasty chemical burns.

In any case, most common painkillers work on a receptor in the brain, so need to be swallowed, absorbed into the bloodstream to actually work...

It hurts with sweet and when I've just woke up it really aches but I'm starting to think I do grind my teeth. They're composite fillings

Also granted this may be a silly question but could there be any reason my dentist is filling the deep decay with composite and the small fillings with the silver fillings?

It could be that they are slightly high in your bite, can be hard to tell with composite especially when the patient is numb.
Grinding won't help but if these specific teeth are sore then I'd get them looked at.

I can't think of one, generally it'd be the other way round.
