I got a gum graft done 5 days ago and I’m worried it’s failing. I accidentally brushed it yesterday morning (tired, not thinking) which I think is what started it all. I developed a terrible taste in my mouth as the day went on and my breath doesn’t smell great. My stitches fell out this afternoon and there’s a gray/clear patch on the graft tissue. Does any of this sound normal?

I have health ocd so I’m freaking out atm. Any advice/insight appreciated

The stitches coming out is normal, they are designed to cause minor irritation so your immune system attacks them, I'd expect a little bit of localised inflammation around the suture sites, bit red and puffy looking. The smell off your breath is pretty normal post surgery. The grey patch could be granulation tissue which is OK, but impossible to say without seeing you.
Give your surgeon a call in the morning and see what they say?

I already went and saw him two days after surgery because I something was wrong and texted him the day I accidentally brushed it to see if it was ok (also sent a pic). I really don't think I can reach out to him again without looking like a crazy person. I took a peek yesterday and the graft pulled away from the tooth a little bit and now that piece is a shade of white. I'm nervous I messed this up.

You're paying for his after care as much as for the surgery. He should be perfectly happy to check this for you.
