So I'm home and I feel perfect. I didn't act incoherent afterwards or anything like that.
Little hiccup though. I was supposed to get all 4 removed with the 4th one on the bottom still under the gum. The other bottom one was killing me with an infected gum. I was told that judging by the x-ray, the tooth was very near nerves if not on top of it. Well turns out it was all infected inside and the tooth was completely intertwined with nerves, something my oral surgeon said is very rare but that couldnt be seen completely on an x-ray. I guess I had a hole in the root with the nerve going right through it!!!! Because of it, he decided not to touch my tooth that hasn't erupted yet so we can see how I heal from this side and then come back later. So the top two are gone and that infected bad one is gone. What a relief though, feel so much better!
So far my tongue is 95% back and the side of my face where the bottom one wasn't disrupted is almost back too. The side with the bad tooth, still completely numb and I am freaking out now that I will be left with permanent paralysis. I called my dentist who spoke with the oral surgeon and he said it "should" come back, but it just may take some more time. I'm so worried now
If not for that, everything is fine. My top two don't hurt at all and any pain from that bad tooth has responded to just 2 Ibuprofin.
I have eaten Yoplait Yogurt, Apple Sauce and some Chocolate Pudding. I keep changing the gauze every 30 minutes or so.
I dunno what to about this one part of my face though. It's the bottom lip and chin only. Can anyone shed some light please? Thanks!
