How long until safe from dry socket?

Hey guys! 72 hours ago I had a rotten molar and the wisdom tooth above it removed. When does the risk of dry socket decrease to the point where I don't have to worry about coughing and such? (I have a chronic cough, so not coughing is very hard for me, and i notice coughing puts pressure on the clots).

I've posted 3 threads on this forum over the past 3 or 4 days and not one of them has a response. Come on guys!

Coughing shouldn't be an issue. As a general rule, after 72 hours you are very unlikely to develop dry socket.
