So I just had my deep cleaning done yestersay and my gums were in a bad enough state that they had to use some stitches in my gums. So I was wondering how exactly I should go about cleaning the area? Should I brush directly on my gums? I don't want to ruin the healing process by doing something wrong.
My dentist mentioned salt water rinses and to use a soft toothbrush to clean my teeth but I assume I also need to brush my gums gently as well? I'm just worried about dislodging the stitches and causing more bleeding. I would call my dentist to ask for more info but it's the weekend so I'm out of luck.
