I’m literally gonna lose my mind

Hi all, this morning i had my mouth numbed to get three cavities fixed in one tooth (the front bottom tooth on the right side). For these past 12 hours i have been having nonstop issues with it feeling “wrong” in my mouth, my tongue keeps catching on it. it also looks like there is like a big space in between my bottom two teeth. mind you, i have TERRIBLE anxiety, im 21 and hadn’t been to the dentist in almost 4 years and my teeth were awful and this is the first filling appointment so far. now the worst part of all of this is that my face has been numb ALL day. mainly at the chin and side of jaw but it is effecting the way i eat, smile, drink, etc. i get a lot of pain when trying to open my mouth or smile. i don’t know what is normal or if i should be headed to the ER for this numbness and pain since the dentist can’t fit me in for a couple days. also am i gonna possibly rip a filling out from my tongue hitting it on accident or am i just giving myself too many things to worry about? i’m sorry for the overload, my anxiety has landed me in the ER or urgent care way too many times to count.

1) There's nothing that ER can do for you. Prolonged anaesthetic effect is rare but usually passes without any treatment.
2) If the filling feels rough then it needs polished by your dentist. It's easy to miss a small rough spot when doing front teeth fillings, your tongue is much more sensitive than the dentist's fingers.
3) You won't rip it out by accident.
4) Your jaw joint is sore from the prolonged opening at the dentist, take some mild pain killers and apply a heat pack or ice pack to the sore area.
5) Call your dentist and ask them to fit you in ASAP to smooth off the rough filling.

I’m so sorry for the amount of things in that, and my anxieties. again, thank you! i will be able to get through this time until my appointment a lot easier. also definitely needed to hear that i wouldn’t rip it out by accident, i have been having a lot of trouble eating. thank you so much.
