Hi,
Well like to say hi 1st of all, i had a filling on my baby teeth last year however had some decay so now they want to do an inlay the problem is it might go below the gum line by just a bit. The inlay is on the side off the tooth not facing outwards or inwards, what problems can i expect?

Hi Martin,

An inlay is just a filling which is made outside your mouth by a dental technician and the cemented in place by your dentist. Generally, they are much stronger and longer lasting than fillings made in the mouth.
It is not unsual for a filling or inlay to go under the gum slightly and you should not have any particular complications from this.
