Is a dentist being more expensive than average (for private prices) a red flag?

So, a while ago I registered with a NHS dentist, after not being able to found one for so long. They found three fillings that needed to be done. It costed about 270£-290£ per filling (because i decided to have them done privately, since I didn't want metal fillings)

Now my next appointment i'm due soon and i'm getting very anxious both because of my teeth in general, AND the fear that if anything else is found it will oince again be very expensive.

Is that kind of price range normal? They list white filling on their website as "from £250". Is them being so expensive a red flag?

I'm torn, cause, it's really hard to find an nhs dentist, so i don't want to give up on this dentist (while i can afford doing fillings privately, if i ever need a root canal i NEED to do it through NHS prices). But also last time i had work done in the uk i remember paying way less. So I'm not sure what to do, and it's making me super anxious.

@E93 £250 per filling does seem a little more expensive. The cost of treatment varies greatly between practices and I guess if you feel that you're getting the service you need then that's justifiable. If this dentist spends an hour doing the filling because they're taking the time to look after you then surely it's not going to be the same price as the guy down the road who spends 30 minutes only.
