Oac with buccal flap repair

Hi, I broke an upper right first molar eating a nut end of Jan and needed an extractio after tooth split below gum line a sinus communication occurred. The repair was deemed too big to leave so it was closed using buccal flap repair there and then. I t has been 5 months and mouth mouth still doesn’t feel like my own. It constantly feels like there is a wad of gum between my cheek and gum and I just feel discomfort 24/7 can anyone tell me if this will improve or if they have had this repair and how their recovery looked? The repair is sealed so no problem with that it is just the way my mouth is always aware now. Thanks
