Pain in between front tooth

Help I have developed a painful bump in the "pulp" area between my two front teeth. It's red and sore looking, and it hurts my tooth. I'm terrified of it being an abscess and needing dental work. Do you think antibiotics will get rid? I'm so scared

Antibiotics should not be used unless it is absolutely necessary. In the medical world dentists/doctors are advised not to overly prescribe as the incidence of bacterial resistance has increased dramatically. One day penicillin and other antibiotics will be ineffective and there will be a resurgence of TB, Syphillis etc etc, which are all life-threatening.

Antibiotics will only work if you have an infection so please don't take them. Go and get this looked at and treated by your dentist.
