Thanks mountainmama I’m just glad it’s over with! If it doesn’t work I’ll be gutted but I’m glad I tried as if I’d just pulled it I always would’ve wondered if I could save it! I’m just gonna rest up now as I feel a bit traumatised even though the procedure was great and he was very gentle! I nearly fell asleep it was quite relaxing in a way! I’ve got a few days off work now holidays so hoping the tooth ache/face sensations stay low enough for me to have a nice few days! Is your api tomorrow? Good luck for it x

Get lots of rest! My api is next week. I had to switch it to Friday, so my hubby could take me. They don't want me to drive afterwards.

So it’s four days since the reroot canal and it’s been on and off painful to chew so been taking painkillers! Today I can chew on it again but still have weird pressure sensations pains up my face at side of nose and twitching eye! So I don’t know if reroot canal has solved things? How long would it take for facial symptoms or pain from a reroot canal to subside! He was poking around in there a lot and used a sonic machine (I think) to get the old root canal out! I’m gettig so depressed waiting for this dental nightmare to end and get back to normal (it’s been about 7-8 weeks now) I don’t know whether to get the second part of root canal done next week (where he said he’ll have another look at MB2 canal) or see gp or go back to my normal dentist for an extraction! But after waiting all this time I don’t want to be too hasty! I honestly think anyone else would’ve pulled it by now though! Also hubs said last night we def can afford for me to have an implant so this has really stressed me out further as it would have to be a partial denture or gap as I can’t go through a bridge as teeth either side are Unworked on and I don’t want to risk loosing those too! ? it’s all a nightmare! I feel hopeless and like I’ll never be pain free again

Do you have to pay for the second appointment, or is that covered in the overall cost? If it is covered, I would go ahead and do it, since you are paying anyway, and see if it helps. I know what you mean, though, about just wanting to be done with it. The fact that you can chew on it is good, though! I have never been able to chew with mine, it is too sore to pressure.

If the worst happens, and you have to extract, can you save up and get an implant later? It is your first molar, right? My hubby has his first molar out and it isn't noticeable when he smiles. I know someone who got an implant put in on a first molar seven years after it was extracted.

I’m not sure if I’d have to pay the whole amount as I just paid half this week? I think I’ll prob get it finished just to see as he said he’d try the MB2 canal again? The fact that heat is still affecting it makes me think it’s still infected though! How long did your pressure/twitching take to go away after your root canal mountain mama?

Yeah, the reaction to heat is worrisome, but it could still be recovering from the treatment. It was a good week or two before my pressure and twitching went away. After having those issues both times I had work done on that tooth, and after seeing my GP, I think the root canal and the surgery irritated my sinus cavity, causing the pressure and twitching. I did not have sinus congestion either time, just pressure, but when I went to the doctor, I had fluid in my ears, especially the one near that tooth. Maybe that is what is going on with you?
After the other appointment, maybe a checkup with your GP, just to check the sinuses?

After my apico, if I have sinus issues again, I am going to see an ENT. I just want to be fixed!!!

I think I def have fluid on my ear in that side as if I blow nose and close mouth it blocks! I’m sure this happened before when it died? I think I prob will see the gp and ask for ent referral if it doesn’t go!? I know when it originally died I had a cat scan to check sinuses and they were perfect!

So it’s been 8 days since part two (finished) reroot canal on my crowned molar! I thought it was getting better the last 3 days but today it has really started hurting up my face again! I’ve had numerous X-rays now and nothing showing as infected? Also endo said no sign of any cracks! I’m at a loss what to do? Who to see next gp? This has gone in since end of June now and I’m getting so down! I’ll try and attach the endos X-ray he sent today!? Do any dentists think this dark spot is anything? Or see anything else on X-ray

Edited i cant seem to add pics from phone
