Hi
I have been avoiding dentist appointments for a back molar extraction, pain is my motivation and as I have had little to none I have put it off.I finally decided to sort my mouth out,I scrapped my nhs dentist and have gone private with a dentist that has a hypnotherapist on site to join you in treatment room....I went for a first exam today and yes,the tooth has to come out...what has scared me is that in two days I go on holiday abroad to France, the dentist informed me the decay is now as far down as the nerve,he suggested he give me antibiotics "just in case" as I will be away and maybe not able to access a dentist if I get pain......I am so scared of this happening ,if I get pain, will the antibiotics ease it? Will I only get pain as a result of an infection?.....I'm in no pain now and would not be afraid if I was at home but the fact Im away terrifies me,my extraction is as soon as I come back, the dentist didn't seem to concerned as I have "the antibiotics" now..thanks

Hi the antibiotics are a good idea just in case and good luck :clover::clover::clover: with the extraction when you get back :butterfly:
