I've gotten through 3 upper fillings now. Feeling more comfortable with that since my tongue didn't go numb. So now I have upcoming appointment for a lower filling. He's going to use the stabident. I can't find any stories or reviews for this. I guess I'm wanting to know if the numbing will feel the same as the uppers without all the extra numbing. If it does I think I can handle that. Don't know why I can't find any stories using the stabident.

Use the search function on here - lots of threads mention it. Look for the search box near the top.

Thankyou I did use the search but no one has had an experience with it that I can tell :(

Stabident or x-tips work by anesthetizing the teeth anterior to where the needle is inserted. I always numb up the gums with a traditional block and use the stabident if I can't get profound anesthesia with the traditional method alone.

Yeah he's not going to use a block. Hopefully no numb tongue. That's my phobia :p
