I only have 1 silver filling which is not visible when i smile / laugh.

While very functional with a long life where my practice is no one wants them so I haven't placed one in 15+ years.

Mine are in the back and unnoticeable unless someone is looking for them.

To be honest with all the other tooth problems they were the last of my worries......

I probably would be, if they showed. I am not real big on smiling toothy smiles anyway and especially absolutely never in pictures because my teeth are not straight and white. But my 7 amalgams are all in molars and don't show.

All 8 of my molars have silver fillings. Only 4 of them are noticeably dark from age (I got them 20+ years ago as a kid). I'm not self conscious about them at all since they're not really visible unless I'm yawning with my mouth stretched wide.

I was very brave and had mine changed to white ones years ago, they are great, hardly noticeable and in my month they last a long time. Some of them have been there for 28 years.

My parents tell me I should smile when having my photo taken. I do have fillings but these are not visbile.

I don't feel confident with my smile and my teeth I feel unease, embarrassed and upset. Does not really help having a crossbite/overbite.
