Back in feb I had sedation to have a deep filling done, and paid for a proper clean at the same time - first one I’ve ever had and I’m 40. I’m terrified of going to the dentist due to an unpleasant dentist in my childhood. I’ve always tried to look after my teeth as best I can, brush, floss etc.
I had a checkup in august and she told me I didn’t need to come back for 9 months (I thought it was always 6 months?) and that my teeth were good - but she told me I brushed them too much (I brush 3x day, it’s part of my OCD).
Anyway I have a sore/irritated feeling on the back of one of my top front teeth. It’s sore to brush, - not awful but feels very sensitive. But I’ve had this on and off for a couple of years. If this maybe missed decay? I’ve been to the dentist a few times since it started but with another problem so I guess it could have been missed. Worn enamel? For context, I have bulimia and have done since teens.
What can you do for worn enamel? I’m using a very soft brush head on electric brush, and following all the usual “bulimia teeth advice”.
