So I was bored and took a picture of the back of my front teeth using my new phone camera and noticed this dot on the back of one of my front teeth, I think I remember this being here a few years ago when I looked at the back of my teeth.

However I’m worried this could be a cavity, I have no sensitivity or pain from the tooth and from the front there is no discolouration to the tooth.

Does this look like a stain or a cavity? Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Hey, this looks like a stain most likely. But to be safe you should ask your dentist at your next routine check-up/cleaning. Sometimes we need to poke at it a little to be sure ;)

It's quite common for the upper lateral incisor to have a stain there. See this photo

looks fine. you seem to have a splint fitted to next door tooth? although the gum looks ok there is plaque around the splint. Ian Robertson ( retired dentist of 50 years in practice)
