Composite filling question?

How do you keep a new composite filling from changing in color? I just had two new ones done today and I have noticed over time they change color. Is there a way to keep the color like is when it is new?

the newer materials we use are less likely to stain than the ones which were used even a few years ago. most staining comes from external sources- ie coffee, tea, smoking, red wine etc. so if you are careful with what passes over the filling- you will be less likely to get staining.
